The Royal Society of Biology has announced the availability of grants of up to £1,000 for its members around the world.
The new Regional Events Grants aim to support members in organising impactful and exciting activities that promote the biological sciences and engage diverse audiences.
This new grants-based model comes in light of the launch of the RSB’s new 2025-2030 strategy. It will allow individual members and diverse groups worldwide to organise life science events in their localities with a view to broaden participation and enhance the delivery of the RSB’s strategic goals, while providing more autonomy to local organisers.
The grants will be supporting initiatives that ignite curiosity, highlight ground-breaking research, and showcase local biological projects such as biodiversity hotspots or citizen science. The RSB is looking to fund events and activities that encourage collaboration within the bioscience community, promote RSB membership, and make the biosciences more accessible.
To apply, applicants must submit a form. The closing deadline is 30 March 2025 and another round will open later in the year.
